Cozy Book Reader posted a activity where visitors can create their own their own CD cover. The idea is cute and I’m adapting it to fit the theme of my blog – writing.Here’s how you can create your own pen name and bookcover.
4. Use whatever you want to make a nice cover and post the official result.
Take a look at the fantastic cover! The name of the book is warm three winter months. Isn’t that just fabulous? I’m going to write a song called warm three winter months. It’s too much of a beautiful title to pass up.
I love the picture. A young tomboy with a peace sign. Terrific!
And my pen name – Titan. Who is titan? Here’s the definition I found: (Greek mythology) any of the primordial giant gods who ruled the Earth until overthrown by Zeus; the Titans were offspring of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaea (Earth).
Overall, this book cover fits me perfectly.
Go ahead give it a try. I can’t believe how excited I am over this. Oh the little things. Wish I had more of them.
Oh pick me! Pick me! I know. It’s Linda. Why? Cuz she forgot her big sister’s birthday. Your present is on its way, Bobbi.
Happy belated birthday.
Even though it’s not Conversation Thursday, I’m posting the following exchange I had with my little sister and my brother’s answering machine.
(Linda calling Tata – her little sister)
Linda: Did you remember Bobbi’s birthday?
Tata: Yes, I had her over for lunch.
Linda: Why didn’t you remind me?
Tata: I didn’t know I had to.
Linda: Well you did.
Tata: Too bad.
Linda: Damn, I can’t believe I forgot. Now you look better than me.
Tata: That’s my plan.
Linda: You suck.
(Linda calling Manolo – her little brother)
Answering machine: Please leave a message after the tone.
Linda: Do you know that Bobbi’s birthday was yesterday?
Answering machine: <silence>
Linda: Well, I hope you called her. Cuz the rest of us remembered.
I found a meme that seems really cool. Every Friday I’ll answer questions that reveal something about me. This will be an opportunity for visitors to get to know me a bit better. For frequent visitors to my blog, take the time to post your answers in the comment section. I’d like to get to know each of you better as well. Oh how sweet…a bonding moment. Group hug.
Appetizer
How many times per day do you usually laugh? I’m not sure, but since I work alone and live alone I usually am laughing at my own jokes.
Soup
What do your sunglasses look like? I’m not cool enough to wear sunglasses. Damn, where’s Corey Hart when you need him?
Salad
You win a free trip to anywhere on your continent, but you have to travel by train. Where do you go?
Sorry, but I don’t travel by train. Seriously. I’m a prima donna that way.
Main Course
Name one thing you consider a great quality about living in your town/city. Lots of ethnic restaurants, including Columbian, Portuguese, Chinese (well, I guess every town has Chinese food), Argentinean, Puerto Rican, and Salvadorian.
Dessert
If the sky could be another color, what color do you think would look best? Combination of red and black.
Okay, I’m looking for a sound machine. Does anyone know where I can buy one? I’ve tried Target and Kmart but each only carry “spa machines.” Those machines don’t appeal to me because the noises are of water and I get the urge to pee. I want a simple machine that provides white noise only. The internet has a few, but I want to go into a store a buy one. I’m notorious for not returning items I bought on the internet. Can anyone recommend a sound machine from a particular store?

Ex: If I told you, would you believe me? Linda: No, I guess I wouldn’t. Ex: Well, that’s why. Linda: Yeah.
<a few hours later>
Ex: You are you know. Linda: I’m what? Ex: Beautiful. Linda: Oh, you’re just saying that.
<Linda walks out of the room and then quickly returns>
Linda: I mean thank you.
<Ex smiles>
Linda: So why am I beautiful? Ex: Because you are. Linda: Yeah, but why. Ex: For many reasons.
<both are getting agitated>
Linda: Give me one. Just one. Ex: Your hair. Linda: My hair? I just finished working out. My hair is greasy. Give me another. Ex: Your smile.
Linda: My smile? That ones obvious. Give me another one.
Ex leaves the room…
