I think meshing your creative skills with your technical nonfiction talents will be a super combo, awesome even. I think you might achieve "spellbinding" status, that's what I'm expecting. No pressure. :-)

Thanks, Doug. When I first started blogging I wasn't sure which direction to take - writing, humor, true crime. I figured that once I started blogging the answer would come on its own and that's when I'd invest time in creating a knockout blog.

Besides, writng a true crime blog will assist me in honing my creative nonfiction skills. Currently, my nonfiction work is more "technical."

There's really no ignoring anything AC does, this does seem promising and much to look forward to.

Hey Auria, thanks for getting back to me and for describing the process.

I've been reading the Twilight series(don't laugh-ha) and I've also been into historical fiction lately with Philippa Gregory's(The Other Boleyn Girl) books interspersed with some mysteries and chick-lit.

The last true crime I read was "Counterpoint" this past summer. I would do a book review on the next true crime I read or if you suggested a title. I have seen some good true crime documentaries recently. Have you watched any of these: "The Staircase" about Michael Peterson or "Paradise Lost: Child Murders at Robin Hood" or "Murder on a Sunday Morning." They were all very interesting.

Hey Erika. Sorry for the confusion.

I've been working on a nonfiction book since the summer (the one that is due in January). That's the book that's under contract.

So I haven't edited Mija yet. I'm hoping to get Mija ready for betas by the end of summer.

I suspect it will take that long because the nonfiction book is due January. Then I'll receive structrual edits that I have to do (that could take one, two, three rounds), then I'll receive copyedits that I need to read and approve. That tidbit of info was just to give you an idea of how publishing works, and the reason the process takes so long.

Don't worry, when Mija is ready I definately have you on my list of betas.

Thanks for the compliment on the site. It will look even better when I get the thumbnail images embedded next to the text. I'm going for an online magazine feel.

What have you been reading? Any true crime books? If so, when this site is up and running do you want to do a book review?

Hey! This is going to be a cool site! I'm looking forward to it.

Did you already use your beta readers(I'm still interested)? And if so, when will "Mija" be released to the public? I've been reading like crazy lately and can't wait to read your book. Ciao for now.
