Conversation Thursday: You’re Beautiful
Linda: Why don’t you ever tell me I’m beautiful?
Linda: No, I guess I wouldn’t.
Ex: Well, that’s why.
Ex: You are you know.
<Linda walks out of the room and then quickly returns>
Linda: I mean thank you.
<Ex smiles>
Linda: So why am I beautiful?
<both are getting agitated>
Linda: Give me one. Just one.
Linda: My smile? That ones obvious. Give me another one.

You know I love you, Auria, and I’m sure Linda is a lovely person as well … but I have to agree with Ron here!!
Linda is soooooooooooooooo like that. I on the other hand am much more level-headed.
I really enjoyed that conversation. It’s nice to have someone who is generous with compliments. My husband tells me I’m beautiful every day.
I hated this song the first time I heard it, but then it grew on me. LOL! I sing the part that goes “you’re beautiful” to my daughter…LOL! it always cheers her up.
I’ve been involved in a similar convos.
“Beautiful” is a word we all want to hear but do not know how to react when someone describes us in this manner. New revelation: the next time this word is uttered to me, I will accept the compliment (it’s true anyway). LOL

Doug, I have to say that I am beautiful. Linda…not so much.
Rain, Linda dated a guy who said that she should be told she’s beautiful every day. It made me uncomfortable.
