Friday Feast January 25th 2008

Published by auria cortes at 10:21 pm under Friday Feast

I found a meme that seems really cool. Every Friday I’ll answer questions that reveal something about me. This will be an opportunity for visitors to get to know me a bit better. For frequent visitors to my blog, take the time to post your answers in the comment section. I’d like to get to know each of you better as well. Oh how sweet…a bonding moment. Group hug.

Appetizer
How many times per day do you usually laugh?
I’m not sure, but since I work alone and live alone I usually am laughing at my own jokes.

Soup
What do your sunglasses look like?
I’m not cool enough to wear sunglasses. Damn, where’s Corey Hart when you need him?

Salad
You win a free trip to anywhere on your continent, but you have to travel by train. Where do you go?

Sorry, but I don’t travel by train. Seriously. I’m a prima donna that way.

Name one thing you consider a great quality about living in your town/city.
Lots of ethnic restaurants, including Columbian, Portuguese, Chinese (well, I guess every town has Chinese food), Argentinean, Puerto Rican, and Salvadorian.

Dessert
If the sky could be another color, what color do you think would look best?
Combination of red and black.

I had to laugh at the “group hug” and your salad. Enjoyed your feast! Thanks for stopping by mine. :)

I laugh a lot. I find life hilarious.

Aviator/Joe Cool, had ‘em since high school.

Portland, OR; my 100yr old aunt loved it there, it’s close to home, I like what I hear about it…kind of Seattle before it got so “big city.”

    Easy–the diversity of the citizens.

Wow, I like blue, no, can’t mess with perfection.

You work alone and live alone…interesting. Verlee intervesting.

Hmm I wonder if Corey Hart still wears his sunglasses at night. :D

Diane, many people who have participated in the feast have said that they want to visit Portland. Now I’m thinking of visiting. My curiousity is piqued. Also, the timestamp on the posts are EST.

Daphne, Corey is too damn cool. I’m sure he wears his sunglasses at night.

I have never counted, for me its not about quantity it is about quality.

What do your sunglasses look like?
    Aviator, I love this look.

You win a free trip to anywhere on your continent, but you have to travel by train. Where do you go?
I agree long train rides are not my thing. I might pass it up.

Name one thing you consider a great quality about living in your town/city.
WPB/FL I love the weather, and it is a clean city.

If the sky could be another color, what color do you think would look best?
Pastel green with light pink clouds.

Y’all need to try out luxury trains with beds, fabulous meals, many places to wander around on the train…

How many times per day do you usually laugh?
Not often, most days not at all. I do fake it well, though.

What do your sunglasses look like?
I just squint. I lose sunglasses. Corey Hart was fine back in the day, though, with or without.

You win a free trip to anywhere on your continent, but you have to travel by train. Where do you go?
    NYC. Love it.

Name one thing you consider a great quality about living in your town/city.
Lots of local bands and theater, while still attracting the big-name concerts and broadway tours.

If the sky could be another color, what color do you think would look best?
I can’t even imagine a different color, I’d stick with blue. Maybe a bit deeper hue, though.

I love Cape May New Jersey. Anywhere that has beaches and lighthouses. I climbed over 200 steps four months pregnant, just to reach the top of a lighthouse.

It’s quiet and has great bike trails.

    Dessert
If the sky could be another color, what color do you think would look best?
    Lavender of course.

OMG! Doug, Corey Hart was fine. I had a huge poster of him hanging in my dorm room. It was right next to my poster of Don Johnson.

I laugh a lot, but I’ve got a psychotic husband who loves word play. He’s actually really good at turning me from mad to laughing in less than a second. :)

Corey Hart? Now that’s a name I haven’t seen in, well, forever.

And a trip on my continent by train? Um, first, how do I get off this island country? There only way to get to the continent is by plane, train, or really really vigorous swimming. :D But if I could go… I dunno. There’s too big a list, really. Siberia would be cool, as would Vietnam or China or Bangladesh or, well, any number of places. It would be too difficult to narrow down the choices. :D
