Friday’s Feast: March ? 2008

Published by auria cortes at 10:30 am under Friday Feast

This week I made up my own questions because I didn’t like the questions the Friday’s Feast organizers selected.  Yeah, I don’t know today’s date so I put a “?” in the title.

Appetizer

What are you wearing right now?

I’m wearing a terry clothe rob, which has a freshly made burn mark on the right hand sleeve. Yes, I should stay away from the stove.

Soup

What toothpaste do you use?

Colgate cinnamon flavored

Salad

What is the last book you read? And how long ago was it?

Last week I read Lucia, Lucia.

Main Course

What are you going to have for dinner tonight?I’m not sure yet. Maybe spaghetti with marina sauce - white flour pasta, not wheat.

Dessert

What were you doing two hours ago?
I was answering email.

Okay, now it’s your turn. Answer the questions in the comment section. This is our time to get to know each other.

Erika, The Other Woman’s Shoes sound like an interesting book.

I’ve never heard of Tom’s Orange Mango gel. I LOVE Mangos.

Doug, did you make the lasagna? I don’t cook but want to learn how to make veggi lasagna. Hmmm…maybe I’ll try to make it this weekend. I don’t know how to cook so I eat out every day.

Diane, one thing I dislike is conducting research for a novel. But I have to as well.

Rain, eggplant parm is good, but it’s one of those dishes that not everyone can pull off. I’m not sure why that is.

“Rain, eggplant parm is good, but it’s one of those dishes that not everyone can pull off. I’m not sure why that is.”

It’s one of my best dishes. The secret is seasoned breadcrumbs and fresh eggplant.

I really like eggplant parm, but agree with little navigator that not everyone can pull it off. I’m a pretty good cook, but I’ll admit I seldom do well with the eggplant. I’ll take rain’s secrets and try again

Yep, the zucchini lasagna was quite tasty! I kind of made it up as I went along, I do that a lot and then never remember exactly how to re-make the good stuff the same. One thing I did, though, is grate the zucchini rather than chop, I wanted a more evently distributed and subtle zuke throughout rather than a chunk here and there. Worked out well. Also through in some “Smart Ground”, most delicious. Abundance of cheese, of course. I can’t live without my cheeses.
