Girls Who Wear Glasses and Makeovers

Published by auria cortes at 8:25 am under Girls Who Wear Glasses

Why does the girl who wears glasses always the one that needs a makeover?

I love the musical Wicked, but I can’t help notice when Glinda gives Elphaba a makeover, she completely overlooks the fact that Elphaba is green. Green. G-r-e-e-n. GREEN. Is there mention of that little fact? Noooooooooo.

Glasses. We can’t have that, can we?

Great question. With women like Tina Fey sporting g glasses, I think people are starting to realize that you can be sexy with glasses. Even a lot of the local female anchors are wearing glasses now. I think that’s great!

Tina Frey totally rocks! Glasses are very stylish. I own quite a few in different colors. I’m the Puerto Rican female version of Bono.

I think it is the Birkenstock crock: men more likely make passes at girls in spike heels, and no glasses; it proves she is submissive and will sacrifice her health for her man. It ges both ways, women in make-up and heels don’t head toward the t-shirt guy in dirty work books and glasses. Maybe it is a Darwin thing. Hmmm, I’ve always worn glasses and never lacked passes. May be an urban myth.

Tina Fey is doing us four-eyed gals some good. She won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series - Musical Or Comedy.

Diane, I never lack passes. Get too many for my taste, in fact. I think it’s because men think there is a wild sexual creature hiding behind the lenses. Their hoping for their chance to be submissiive. But nope, it’s just me. Boring old me.
