Quotable Sunday: Sidonie Gabrielle
“Sit down and put down everything that comes into your head and then you’re a writer. But an author is one who can judge his own stuff’s worth, without pity, and destroy most of it.”

Oh, me likey, I feel like an author now.
Technically I am a published author, but this part of the quote stops me in my tracks: “But an author is one who can judge his own stuff’s worth, without pity, and destroy most of it.”
I do destory most of my writing, but do so with MUCH pity.
Very true. For me, a lot of it’s destroyed in the process of brainstorming, world building, and plotting before I even get the story started on paper, but, yeah. Very true.
